Mandatory training for local government planning commissions, boards of zoning appeals and architectural review as well as staff who work directly or indirectly with planning officials. All new board members and staff members must take six hours of orientation training within one year of their appointment or hire date.

Mandatory training for local government planning commissions, boards of zoning appeals and architectural review as well as staff who work directly or indirectly with planning officials includes six hours of orientation training for all new members within one year of their appointment or hire date. This class will satisfy the requirement through an approved training curriculum from the Municipal Association of South Carolina.
