Want to Volunteer?

If you care to be a volunteer, please consider providing your services and vehicle to help those whose quality of life is limited by their ability to get help when they need it. You could be the answer to their prayers.  The need to go grocery shopping, attend an event, worship, or just pay bills are all things we take for granted when transportation is no problem.  With no transportation, the quality of your life can change drastically. You will be allowed to use your own vehicle and a nominal fee per mile will be paid for those assisting with providing transportation to seniors and the disabled.

If you want to serve in another capacity, escorts are also needed to accompany people on trips  Both the drivers and the escorts will have to be approved to provide services to any clients. A joint insurance policy will cover vehicles while they are in use for this purpose.  READ MORE>>

Need Ride Assistance?

Providing assisted rides to people in need of the transportation is not a new concept. We are beginning our second year in Spartanburg County, South Carolina promoting the Assisted Rides Program (ARP) which has been dubbed the "Out and About" program.  The purpose of this program is to coordinate people willing to provide transportation in their own vehicles to those who have no other means of transportation. If there is already some form of transportation provided for you, you may not qualify to use the service. For those of you who are either over the age of 60 and limited in your ability to get from place to place alone, or perhaps disabled and not able to make it to your appointments or run essential errands alone - there's a good chance this program will be  of benefit to you.
